About the Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer at Hyland, you'll play a critical role in the design, construction, and implementation of systems and solutions that support our corporate IT infrastructure. You'll work as part of the Client Services Engineering Team — a collaborative, sprint-based team responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the platforms and services used to manage, secure, and maintain company-owned devices across the enterprise. The team owns endpoint management solutions that enable device provisioning, software deployment, patch management, security controls, and lifecycle management at scale.

In this role, you'll oversee systems that manage imaging, patching, and protection of company-owned resources, serve as an escalation point for system and user issues, and continuously identify and implement improvements that drive efficiency across the environment. Candidates who succeed in this role typically bring hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune MDM or Microsoft Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM).

Your Tools

  • Microsoft Intune & Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
  • Jamf Pro
  • Windows Autopatch (Windows Update for Business)

Your Role Responsibilities – Here's What You'll Do

  • Design, manage, and support IT systems within a hybrid-cloud architecture; engineer, maintain, and protect Windows and macOS devices to ensure a secure, reliable, and optimized endpoint environment.
  • Plan and execute projects and related requests that support department initiatives; collaborate on best practices, standards, and processes for the design and administration of systems and solutions within a weekly sprint framework.
  • Safeguard the security, integrity, and confidentiality of systems and data; support compliance initiatives including gathering evidence for certification audits and adhering to Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across managed environments; perform problem-solving, root-cause, and post-mortem analyses to drive process improvements and prevent recurrence.
  • Document the design, operation, and procedures of implemented solutions and technology platforms; compose internal training materials and conduct training sessions where applicable.
  • Serve as an escalation point for system and user requests; identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to existing systems and solutions to increase overall efficiency across the enterprise.

Role Essentials

You'll need these skills to hit the ground running:

  • More than five years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a Windows environment, with more than two years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Jamf Pro, or a similar endpoint management platform.
  • Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM) and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, with demonstrated ability to manage device security, software deployment, and patch management at enterprise scale.
  • Experience with scripting and application deployment packaging, with familiarity or experience with Windows Autopatch (Windows Update for Business) and public cloud solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with effective analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated ability to write concise, logical, and grammatically correct documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform root-cause and post-mortem analyses to drive meaningful process improvements in a fast-paced, sprint-based engineering environment.

What We'd Like to See

These will help you stand out:

  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with macOS and Jamf Pro for device management, provisioning, and security control implementation in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience working within a hybrid-cloud architecture, supporting endpoint management solutions across both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and independently execute projects in a sprint-based team environment, with experience supporting department initiatives from design through delivery.
  • Experience supporting compliance initiatives, including evidence gathering for certification audits and adherence to corporate information security policies and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the role.
