iMentor is seeking a dynamic Salesforce Administrator to optimize their Salesforce platform, drive user adoption, and serve as a strategic partner across the organization. This role goes beyond technical administration to include problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation in support of fundraising, program delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities: Lead Salesforce optimization initiatives including automation, workflow improvements, and dashboard creation while serving as the primary support contact for user inquiries and training. Manage user accounts, system maintenance, data integrity, and cross-departmental stakeholder engagement to ensure consistent and confident Salesforce usage.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Salesforce administration, automation tools, API integrations, user training, and reporting/dashboard design, combined with strong collaboration, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence skills. Experience with Agile methodologies and the ability to navigate ambiguity and translate user feedback into actionable solutions.
Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of Salesforce administration experience, Bachelor's degree, and Salesforce Administrator Certification required. Familiarity with API integrations and Agile methodologies preferred.

We’re looking for someone who is not only technically proficient but also highly emotionally intelligent. You know how to navigate ambiguity, negotiate between competing needs, and turn user feedback into actionable, innovative solutions. You'll report to our Director of IT and partner with stakeholders across departments to build smart, scalable systems that meet real business needs.

We prefer our Administrator work on a hybrid schedule out of our iMentor office in NYC, but we are open to discussing that this position be a remote opportunity for the right candidate.  

Responsibilities  

Serve as a strategic leader in cross-departmental stakeholder engagement by establishing and promoting best practices for Salesforce usage. Drive adoption of new processes, procedures, and technologies through effective communication and collaboration. Lead training initiatives for both new and existing staff to ensure confident and consistent use of Salesforce and its integrated systems See more detailed responsibilities under the following categories:

Salesforce Optimization

  • Lead the continuous improvement of Salesforce to align with organizational goals, particularly in support of fundraising, program delivery, partnership growth, and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, improved workflows, and enhanced data visibility. 
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for leadership, and program teams. 
  • Evaluate and implement new Salesforce features and third-party tools to enhance system performance and user experience. 
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all Salesforce objects and integrations. 

User Support & Training

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Salesforce-related inquiries and technical support. 
  • Provide onboarding and ongoing training to staff through documentation, demos, and virtual/in-person sessions. 
  • Develop and maintain user guides, FAQ, and training materials tailored to different user roles. 
  • Monitor user adoption and proactively address gaps in usage or understanding. 
  • Support users in creating and customizing reports and dashboards relevant to their roles 

Administration & Maintenance

  • Manage user accounts, roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules to ensure secure and appropriate access. 
  • Create and maintain custom objects, fields, validation rules, flows, and page layouts. 
  • Perform regular data imports, exports, deduplication, and cleanup to maintain a high-quality database. 
  • Maintain and troubleshoot integrations with tools such as FormAssembly, Eventbrite, Beaufort12, Campaign Monitor and DocuSign. 
  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues related to configuration, automation, and data quality. 

Learning & Development

  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices through continuous learning and certification. 
  • Participate in Salesforce community groups, webinars, and training opportunities to bring new knowledge into the organization. 
  • Collaborate with team to understand evolving needs and translate them into Salesforce solutions. 
  • Contribute to testing and deployment processes, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA) in sandbox environments. 

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience with Salesforce administration in an organization with over 100 users 
  • Experience with Salesforce automation tools such as Flow, Process Builder, and Workflow Rules. 
  • Ability to collaborate with fundraising teams to build dashboards that support donor engagement, campaign tracking, and revenue analysis. 
  • Understanding of API integrations and tools such as Postman, curl, and JSON. 
  • Experience supporting products using a ticketing system 
  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification 

Pluses

  • Experience in Agile or other software development methodology 
  • Non-profit organization Salesforce experience 
  • Salesforce development and technologies: Apex, Process Builder, SOQL, Flow, Visual Force and Agent AI. 
  • Experience with API integrations and tools including Postman, curl, and JSON 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $80,000 - $85,000 annually commensurate with experience.
