Summary

Account Executive for Rosetta Stone Latin America responsible for developing new customers and expanding business across Panama and South America through consultative sales and relationship building. This role drives revenue growth while advocating for customer needs and market trends.

Key Responsibilities: Develop new customers and expand territories through structured outbound prospecting, cold calling, and account-based sales strategies while managing the complete sales cycle. Provide post-sale customer advocacy, design creative sales strategies, and promote Rosetta Stone at educational and HR events across Latin America.
Skills & Tools: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required (Portuguese a plus) with proven ability in value selling and solution selling of SaaS and software products. Must demonstrate strong self-sourcing capability, market awareness, honesty, integrity, and experience working in education/HR/L&D sectors.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with 3+ years of sales experience in edtech or software industry in Latin America. Prior exposure to education, HR, and language learning platforms preferred.
Location: In-Person - Bogotá
Compensation: COP$48M–COP$72M/yr (estimated)

Job Description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an Account Executive to join our Rosetta Stone Latin America (LATAM) team. #LI-EM1

The Account Executive for Latin America will create detailed business plans to reach predetermined goals and quotas, manage the entire sales cycle from finding a potential client to securing a deal, and unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and turning them into long- term partnerships. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented and tenacious with a natural sales instinct. You will have experience working with technology and assisting customers. We are looking for a self-starter that will support our rapidly growing customer base. #LI-REMOTE

This is a full-time remote position for candidates in Colombia (Bogota preferred) and will require up to 50% travel. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Portuguese proficiency is a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Focus on developing new customers and helping to expand businesses in other territories in Panama and South America #LI-COLOMBIA
  • Develop a keen understanding of customer needs and values to provide personalized assistance throughout the sales process
  • Proactively identify and engage potential customers through structured outbound activity, including cold calling and account-based prospecting, to generate a qualified pipeline and expand market presence
  • Meet sales goals consistently
  • Help to design and implement new and creative sales strategies
  • Be an advocate with our marketing team to implement new strategy from feedback captured from customers and prospects
  • Understand and keep up to date with ever-changing market trends
  • Promote Rosetta Stone at educational technology conferences and other HR events in Latin America
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the customer experience, in collaboration with the customer success team, after the sale, by delivering aftercare calls to identify areas for improvement or expansion opportunities

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of sales experience in the edtech or software industry in the territory
  • Proven ability to self-source leads through cold calling and cold outreach
  • Experience in value selling or solution selling of software products, SaaS, and/or language learning and/or training platforms
  • Prior exposure in the Education, HR, and/or L&D sector is a plus
  • High honesty, integrity, and accountability skills
  • Proven experience working with Education and Corporate customers from large organizations
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required
  • Deep knowledge of the academic sector and language training is a plus
  • Good communication and time management skills are required
  • Computer and software knowledge and proficiency in Office 365 tools, CRM platforms (Salesforce desired), web conferencing, among others
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%) when required
