The Instructional Design & Training Specialist partners with publishers and executives to design research-based Spanish literacy and dual language instructional programs. This role ensures best practices in pedagogical approach across new product development while supporting training and RFP submissions.

Key Responsibilities: Guide instructional design of Spanish and dual language products, collaborate with content developers on scope and sequences aligned to standards, create and review product prototypes, and develop training scripts. Participate in product launches, district/state RFP submissions, and content development meetings to ensure comprehensive, accurate product implementation.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in instructional design, Spanish literacy, dual language and cross-linguistic transfer pedagogy, and Science of Reading research. Strong collaboration, written communication, and project management skills with ability to provide constructive feedback and work cross-functionally.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in education, linguistics, or instructional design; 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or Spanish language education preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of ELA/ELD standards and experience with K-12 educational publishing or product development.
Location: Remote - Remote - USA
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $65,000 – $85,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Position

Purpose: The Instructional Design and Training Specialist works directly with the Publisher and Spanish Executive Editor to define and implement research-based pedagogical approached related to Spanish literacy, Dual Language, and Cross Linguistic Transfer decisions.

Responsibilities: Guide the instructional design of new Spanish and dual products, providing a professional developer/practitioner perspective on content to help ensure best practices. Collaborate with content developers, authors, and consultants to conceptualize new products and develop program matrices and scope and sequences based on ELA, ELD and content standards. Attend Content Development working meetings to support the conceptualization and prototyping of all new components. Develop scope and sequences, working with content developers and outside consultants as needed. Create new product prototypes and provide feedback on prototypes developed by others,. Participate in district and state submissions by writing and/or reviewing RFP responses to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness of responses. Participate in product launch meetings, scrums, and RFP weekly meetings. Work with the Director, Instructional Design and Training, to create product training scripts for Spanish core and supplemental products.
