Summary

Join LINQ's Research & Development team as a Software Engineer to build innovative, scalable web applications for K–12 districts. You'll contribute to a mission-driven environment delivering high-quality solutions across Payments, Nutrition, or Platform teams.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain secure, scalable web applications using .NET, Angular, and Microsoft SQL while implementing AWS tools for platform optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, participate in design discussions, and support agile delivery cycles.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in .NET technologies, scalable distributed systems, web application development, AWS services, and CI/CD pipelines required. Strong problem-solving abilities, JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency, and excellent communication skills for team collaboration.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with .NET technologies. Solid understanding of relational databases, cloud services, and agile development methodologies; EdTech experience is a plus.
Location: Remote with less than 10% travel required

About The Role:

As a Software Engineer on the LINQ, you will be a hands-on contributor within a cross-functional team, helping design, build, and refine key features of our platform. You will work alongside experienced engineers, product owners, and architects to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of K–12 districts. Primary Objectives:

  • Deliver High-Quality Code – Build and maintain secure, scalable web applications that meet business needs.
  • Team Collaboration – Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver solutions from concept to deployment.
  • Technical Growth – Take initiative to expand your skills, contribute to best practices, and participate in code reviews and design discussions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Building, maintaining, and updating a robust web-based SaaS platform using .NET Framework, Angular, AngularJS, and Microsoft SQL.
  • Implementing and optimizing AWS tools and services to support platform scalability and performance.
  • Working with the Product Team to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participating in technical design discussions to ensure efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Contributing to code quality through testing, documentation, and peer reviews.
  • Supporting the delivery of features and enhancements in an agile, fast-paced development cycle.
  • Helping to identify areas for technical improvement and offering solutions that benefit the product and team.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with .NET technologies.
  • Solid understanding of web application development, cloud services, and relational databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to team goals.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework/Core.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, AngularJS/Angular, and front-end development.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services or other cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with the K–12 or EdTech space.
  • Contributions to mid-sized or large-scale SaaS platforms.
  • A genuine curiosity for learning new technologies, exploring new ideas, and improving how things work.
