Summary

Join Newsela as a Curricular Solutions Architect to connect curriculum to instruction by architecting scalable educational solutions and building relationships with school districts. This pre-sales role bridges pedagogical expertise with sales efforts to identify content opportunities and align strategies that meet district instructional needs.

Key Responsibilities: Architect curricular solutions that align Newsela's content with district instructional needs, build and manage relationships with districts in your territory, and work closely with sales teams to identify content opportunities and RFPs. Design and implement scalable systems that meet client needs by leveraging data, research, and industry best practices to create delightful solutions for districts, teachers, and students.
Skills & Tools: Strong pedagogical expertise, consultative and sales skills, ability to design quality instructional resources across multiple subjects, and capability to identify instructional needs and build consensus among multiple stakeholders. Data-driven decision-making, creativity, and experience with educational technology are preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related field with 3+ years of teaching experience and experience designing cross-curricular instructional resources. Sales or sales-adjacent role experience and background in educational technology are preferred.
Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, United States
Compensation: $95,000 – $100,000/year base salary plus $20,000 on-target commission (OTE: $115,000 – $120,000/year), plus incentive stock options and benefits

The role: 

  • As a Curricular Solutions Architect you will be a member of Newsela’s Customer Solutions team, and will articulate bridges that connect Curriculum to Instruction by using Newsela’s engaging, authentic and differentiated content.
  • You will build relationships with districts in your territory, each with distinct content and instructional needs.
  • Reporting to the Manager of Customer Solutions, you will also work closely with the field sales team.
  • You'll apply your pedagogical expertise and consultative skills to architect curricular solutions that delight districts, teachers, and students by enabling engaging and aligned learning to take place in classrooms. 
  • You’ll also champion client needs, requests and untapped opportunities, as identified by Sales, Marketing, Content, and Product leadership teams; this role will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable systems that satisfy market demands by better meeting clients needs in less time.
  • By habit, you rely on data, research and industry best practices to inform your day to day, and on your creativity and ingenuity to ensure the final output is delightful to our users.

Why you’re a great fit:

  • You have 3+ years of teaching experience
  • You have an Bachelor's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or other related field
  • You have experience in a sales or sales adjacent role
  • You have experience designing quality instructional resources, preferably in a cross-curricular capacity across ELA, Social Studies and Science
  • You have experience identifying instructional needs and building consensus on the just-right solution with multiple stakeholders
  • Preference for candidates with a background in educational technology 

Compensation:

Base salary: $95,000 - $100,000

On-target commission (OTC): $20,000

On-target earnings (OTE): $115,000 - $120,000

Total compensation for this role also incentive stock options and benefits.
