About the Role

The Senior Director Go-To-Market leads the business development team and manages budgets and profitability. They will perform two or more staff functions such as Accounting, Human Resources, Training, Records Management, and Materials Management. They will plan, coordinate and manage the allocation of resources (e.g., people, equipment) to deliver timely results. They may manage the development and implementation of general operating policies, processes and procedures for the organization and lead special projects in multiple areas. They will identify new business opportunities and creates appropriate business plans.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering best practices for agency and distributor management, society engagement and publisher support. Revenue and innovation responsible for partnerships and inbound sales. (Organizationally.)
  • Managing agency and distributor management, including contracts, terms of business, reporting and forecasting.
  • Providing publisher support and input for Scientific-Technical-Medical Journal (STMJ) new business, renewal proposals and pitches.
  • Drive development of self-served commercial revenue forecasting for STMJ.
  • Managing sales compliance of agents and distributors and liaison with Editorial Compliance team.
  • Enabling partners to optimize STMJ Commercial revenues for societies on ads, reprints, supplements, copyrights etc.
  • Innovating partnerships with agency new business/new product development and for development of content licensing opportunities.
  • Ensuring the vision and direction for commercial value proposition is understood across the organization.

Requirements

  • Have experience in business development. With a proven track record of successful growth, initiatives and contract negotiations.
  • Have experience managing agents and distributors.
  • Have experience managing global customers and internal stakeholder base.
  • Have commercial problem-solving skills with the ability to approach challenges with a fresh perspective.
  • Display deep understanding of commercial advertising and sponsorship best practices.
  • Have exceptional drive to engage and simplify our external relationships for our internal publishing audience.
  • Display effective leadership, capability to train and guide junior staff, paired with exceptional interpersonal skills to build consensus and relationships.
  • Able to drive innovation, exercise judgment and analyze multiple sources of information.
  • Have excellent communication skills to convey the value of partnerships and initiative for external stakeholders.
  • Have outstanding presentation, diplomatic and reporting skills.

Salary Range

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for NYC:$153,500.00 - $285,000.00
