Role Snapshot

Remote School Psychologist position at Parallel delivering psychological services and psycho-educational evaluations to students with learning differences across the nation. The role empowers students by developing and monitoring IEP goals within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and indirect psychological services, conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations of students' academic and social-emotional functioning, and develop/monitor IEP goals. Serve as a vital team member collaborating with educators and families to support student success.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in school psychology across all NASP domains, strong communication abilities with children from diverse backgrounds, and proficiency with tele-health platforms. Must demonstrate experience providing direct psychological services within an MTSS framework and conducting comprehensive evaluations.
Qualifications: EdS degree (or equivalent) in school psychology from a NASP-approved program with valid state license/certificate as a school psychologist (NCSP preferred). Minimum 1 year of full-time on-site school psychology experience required; remote school psychology experience preferred.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver direct and indirect psychological services to support students with IEPs.
  • Conduct psycho-educational evaluations of students’ academic, cognitive, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Develop and monitor IEP goals focused on social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
  • Serve as a vital member of multidisciplinary teams.

What You’ll Need 

  • An EdS degree (or equivalent) in school psychology from a NASP-approved program
  • A valid state license or certificate as a school psychologist with SEA endorsement
  • NCSP preferred but not required
  • At least 1 year of experience practicing full time as an on-site school psychologist (excluding practicum and internship years)
  • Experience practicing as a remote school psychologist is preferred but not required
  • Expertise across all NASP domains of practice
  • Experience providing direct psychological services (e.g., intervention, counseling) within an MTSS framework of service delivery
  • Experience consulting with educators and families
  • Experience completing comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations of students’ academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning 
  • Excellent communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate with children of different ages and from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds 
  • Tech-savvy and experience with conducting tele-health services on virtual meeting platforms
  • A private workspace with a reliable computer, webcam, and secure internet connection
  • Availability during traditional school hours (8:00am-3:00pm) and days (Monday-Friday); minimum availability of 15 hours per week is ideal 
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus!
