Job Description

Our Mission and Opportunity

Early education is one of the most important determinants of childhood outcomes, a critical support for working families, and a $175B market that remains underserved by modern technology. Brightwheel is the largest, fastest growing, and most loved platform in early ed, trusted by millions of educators and families every day. We are a three-time Cloud 100 company, backed by top investors including Addition, Bessemer, Emerson Collective, Lowercase Capital, Notable Capital, and Mark Cuban.

Our Team

Our team is passionate, talented, and customer-focused. We embody our Leadership Principles in our work and culture. We are a distributed team with remote employees across every US time zone, as well as select offices in the US and internationally.

Who You Are

You dive into the details and aren't satisfied until you understand the root cause — you scope and document before you build, even when the pressure is on to move fast. You take ownership of outcomes without waiting to be told what's next, and you see being a go-to technical resource as something to build capacity around, not protect. You're as interested in using AI to scale your own execution as you are in shipping it into workflows the rest of the GTM org relies on.

What You'll Do

  • Own architecture and development for Salesforce and its adjacent GTM integrations — LeanData, Chili Piper, HubSpot, Gong, and Stripe — designing for scale rather than one-off fixes.

  • Serve as the team's technical escalation point for development and integration work beyond standard admin configuration.

  • Instrument proactive monitoring and alerting for revenue-critical systems, and build a technical debt roadmap with a defined burn-down cadence.

  • Design, document, and ship AI-assisted workflows — scaling SysOps velocity and extending into GTM rep-facing capabilities.

  • Execute sprint-based admin and configuration work alongside development, and bring design rigor — design docs, architecture review — to how the team builds.

  • Mentor and upskill junior admins, building technical capability beyond a single point of failure.

What You've Done

  • Owned and shipped development work to production — triggers, async Apex, REST/API integrations — and owned the integration architecture between Salesforce and external systems (payment, conversation intelligence, or GTM tooling).

  • Designed or instrumented production monitoring and alerting for a system you owned.

  • Built AI-assisted workflows or tooling that scaled beyond your own use.

  • Worked with Salesforce Sales Engagement.

  • Identified, prioritized, and burned down technical debt in a live production system — not just a greenfield build.

What Sets You Apart

  • Direct experience with Stripe, Gong, Chili Piper, LeanData, Intercom, and/or HubSpot specifically.

  • A track record of mentoring or upskilling less senior admins.

  • Prior experience moving a systems team from reactive to proactive operating maturity.

  • Familiarity with Service Cloud Voice, Amazon Connect, AWS, Agentforce, or Einstein Conversation Insights.
