Qualifications: 5+ years in deal desk, sales operations, or similar roles in SaaS/tech with familiarity with security frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR) and first-pass legal review; Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred; familiarity with K12 education industry guidelines preferred.

Role Description

The Sr. Deal Operations Manager will own and optimize the deal process, ensuring contracts, pricing, and compliance align with company goals. This role bridges sales, legal, finance, and operations, managing all deal-related activities with a focus on efficiency, autonomy, and responsiveness in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage deal structuring, approvals, and contract execution.
  • Conduct first-pass legal reviews and address security and compliance requests (e.g., questionnaires).
  • Maintain deal desk workflows, templates, and tools to streamline processes.
  • Partner with teams to develop and enforce pricing, terms, and policy adherence.
  • Analyze deal data and identify process improvements to support business objectives.
  • Provide guidance on non-standard deal terms and escalate exceptions strategically.
  • Being extremely responsive to our commercial teams

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of deal structuring, compliance, and contract management.
  • Ability to independently review legal documents and manage security/compliance requests.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and contract lifecycle tools.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience

  • 5+ years in deal desk, sales operations, or similar roles in SaaS or tech.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR) and first-pass legal review.
  • Familiarity with K12 education and industry guidelines (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
