Summary

About the Role

Elsevier is seeking a motivated, action-oriented self-starter to drive eBook sales with key academic and government accounts. You will focus on acquiring new prospects and expanding our presence among top-tier institutions and agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying key contacts and decision-makers within customer organizations, particularly librarians and related leaders, and develop exceptional relationships with those stakeholders.
  • Creating and implementing Account Plans for prospective accounts.
  • Driving new business opportunities to exceed sales quotas and annual targets.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams, including Account Managers, Marketing, Commercial/Product, Data Squad, and Strategy.
  • Providing accurate reporting and forecasting of sales, maintaining current records
  • Promoting and execute promotional strategies for our eBook offerings.

Requirements

  • Have a proven track record of success in sales, particularly in solution selling to academic and government sectors.
  • Demonstrate success in prospecting and closing new business, leading to consistent quota achievement.
  • Be proactive, competitive, and results-oriented mindset, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a high-level understanding of the academic and government markets, with knowledge of research trends and educational needs.
  • Experience with Challenger sales Methodology.
  • Able to accurately forecast new business opportunities and renewals.
  • Display excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, coupled with exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
