Summary
Contract IT Quality Assurance Analyst role supporting a state agency's Unemployment Insurance system modernization, specifically expanding account numbers from 6 to 9 digits while validating legacy system integrity and performance.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with developers to design and execute comprehensive test plans (unit, integration, UAT) across COBOL, CICS, and DB2 systems; automate testing cycles, document defects, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure changes meet acceptance criteria and regulatory standards.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, 3270 emulator tools, and IBM InfoSphere Optim Test Data Management Solution; strong analytical mindset, documentation, communication skills, and experience with mainframe systems, automated testing frameworks, and secure coding practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with minimum 3 years in software quality assurance or testing roles, preferably in government or public sector systems.
Location: Remote from Nebraska, United States of America
Compensation: $72 – $77/hour
