Key Responsibilities: Prepare global VAT/GST compliance filings and U.S. sales/use tax returns, partner with internal teams on tax treatment of transactions, and drive process improvements in indirect tax reporting. Support federal and state income tax compliance, international tax reporting, provision calculations, and tax planning initiatives.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), Google Workspace, NetSuite, and FloQast; strong experience in indirect taxes (VAT/GST, sales/use tax); working knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax; excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred or in progress) with 3-5+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or industry roles.

Job Description: Pluralsight is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Professional to join our tax team. This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across a broad range of tax matters. The position will focus approximately 70% on indirect taxes (including VAT, sales/use tax, and related compliance) and 30% on direct taxes (federal, state, and international reporting). This individual will play a key role in ensuring compliance, improving processes, and supporting the company’s growing global operations. What you’ll do: Indirect Tax (70%) Prepare global VAT/GST compliance, including filings, reconciliations, and registrations U.S. sales and use tax compliance, including return preparation and nexus analysis Monitor and interpret changes in indirect tax laws and assess impact on the business Partner with internal teams (billing, legal, finance, product) to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions Support indirect tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities Drive process improvements and automation in indirect tax reporting Direct Tax (30%) Assist with U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, including workpapers and return support Support international tax reporting, including Forms 5471, 8858, and related disclosures Contribute to provision calculations (ASC 740), including current and deferred tax analysis Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions Support tax planning initiatives and research technical issues Experience you’ll bring: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) Experience with NetSuite Experience with FloQast Exposure to tax automation tools (e.g., Avalara) is a plus Strong experience in indirect taxes (VAT/GST, sales/use tax) required Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax concepts Exposure to international tax reporting and cross-border issues Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly Process-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and automation Self-starter who takes ownership and drives results Collaborative team player Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred or in progress) 3-5+ years of relevant tax experience (public accounting and/or industry) Hybrid Work Model: This role follows a hybrid schedule, with on-site work at our Westlake/Dallas, TX office Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits and bonuses may apply.
