Summary

Lucid Software is seeking a Public Sector Inside Sales Representative to drive transactional growth within assigned government territories, building relationships and closing deals with federal, state, and local government accounts.

Key Responsibilities: Identify and close business opportunities in assigned territories, foster strong relationships with target accounts through strategic prospecting, handle complex negotiations, and collaborate with Sales Representatives and Customer Success Managers to retain and expand customers.
Skills & Tools: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, proficiency in prospecting and territory planning, knowledge of cloud applications and SaaS solutions, ability to project manage complex sales cycles, and skilled use of sales enablement tools like Salesforce.
Qualifications: 1+ years of sales experience preferably in SaaS/software, and 1+ years of experience selling into government accounts and Federal Systems Integrators with proven track record of exceeding quotas.
Location: Remote from United States with potential travel as needed
Compensation: $65,000 – $90,000/year

Public Sector Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), lead the transactional business growth for new and existing Lucid customers across their assigned territories. This role includes Federal, Systems Integrators, State, Local, and Regional Government. ISRs will be an integral part of the go-to-market Public Sector sales team focused building pipeline forecasting and closing business. Post prospect qualification, iSRs will work directly with potential and existing customers to create business value across multiple personas, continually working to close sales opportunities. ISRs will also work hand-in-hand with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Account Executives, to ensure renewals, drive expansion, and continual customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and close business in your assigned territory
  • Focus on transactional business net new and existing customers
  • Foster strong relationships across all target accounts and build new champions through strategic prospecting efforts
  • Handle complex negotiations that are mutually beneficial and strengthen customer relationships
  • Work closely with assigned Sales Rep to retain and expand install base customers
  • Travel when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1+ years of sales setting or sales experience (as a Sales/Business Development Rep, Account Executive, Account Manager, or similar role) preferably in SaaS/software
  • 1+ years of experience selling into government accounts and Federal Systems Integrators
  • Ability to project manage complex sales cycles with internal stakeholders (business development, CSM, solution engineers)
  • Knowledge of cloud applications and complex SaaS solutions
  • Proven track record of exceeding quotas
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Skilled in prospecting, territory planning, and team-selling
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with public sector customers including federal systems integrators. 
  • Expert user of sales enablement solutions (Salesforce, Salesloft, etc.)
  • Detailed knowledge of and passion for SaaS applications
  • Strong technical background
