Sales Development Intern supporting Swank Motion Pictures' General Entertainment sales team with hands-on experience in customer engagement, sales operations, and business development during summer 2027.

Key Responsibilities: Assist with order entry, customer database maintenance, payment processing, and respond to customer inquiries. Conduct post-event follow-up calls, re-engage inactive accounts, research business leads, and collaborate on special projects with sales and marketing teams.
Skills & Tools: Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving ability, and proactive self-starter mentality. Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to work collaboratively or independently.
Qualifications: Minimum 3.0 GPA pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with previous customer service and sales experience required. Preferred current Junior status with expected graduation December 2026 or May 2027.
Location: Hybrid - St. Louis, MO
Compensation: $28K–$38K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

**Interns need to be be located in the greater St. Louis area to be qualified for this internship as orientation is on-site for the first 3 weeks. This is a hybrid opportunity following orientation.

Position Summary

Swank Motion Pictures, Inc. is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Support Intern to join our General Entertainment sales team for Summer 2026. This internship provides valuable, hands-on experience in a fast-paced sales environment. Interns will gain exposure to customer engagement, sales operations, and business development while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our customers and business success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team with order entry, customer database maintenance, and payment processing
  • Respond to customer calls and inquiries, providing prompt and professional support
  • Conduct post-event follow-up calls to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Re-engage inactive accounts to secure bookings and revenue opportunities
  • Research potential business leads among new and lapsed customers
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on special projects to enhance processes and customer experience

Professional Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience and sales experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent time management skills
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred current Junior status with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027
