Job Description

The Data Support team is dedicated to reactive, issue-resolution, and troubleshooting efforts to ensure seamless core data integration between a client’s Student Information System and our Products. As a Data Analyst, you will obtain, adjust, and validate data imported from other systems into Renaissance products. As such, part of their work involves working directly with customers to obtain the data we need. They must be detail-oriented and able to spot data problems or inconsistencies and determine proper remediations.

In this role as a Data Analyst I, you will:

  • Manage and troubleshoot data integration: Resolve SIS-to-product integration issues, write and update extract scripts, and configure import processes to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Perform database operations: Execute updates, merges, deletions, and imports within established parameters while maintaining data integrity.
  • Ensure data quality: Conduct thorough quality control checks, investigate discrepancies, and resolve data errors resulting from integration failures.
  • Support customers: Respond to escalated data support cases, provide guidance on ETL processes and data specifications, and delivery clear status updates on issue resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively: Partner with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to address complex data integration challenges and business rule requirements.

For this role as a Data Analyst I, you should have:

  • Associate degree, preferably in Computer/Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or similar field; or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Foundational technical knowledge including basic ETL processes, SQL querying, sFTP servers, and file path navigation (Linux/Mac OS and Windows).
  • Strong analytic mindset with exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex data issues.
  • Collaborative approach with willingness to actively engage across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent customer support skills with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Growth mindset with curiosity and eagerness to learn new technology and continuously develop technical skills.
  • Experience writing scripts using SQL.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Postman, SFTP clients, and API testing tools.
  • Previous experience in data analysis, integration, or technical support roles.

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field; or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Product knowledge of Renaissance products, particularly DnA, eduCLIMBER, and FastBridge.
  • Experience with educational technology or working in K-12 educational environments.

Salary Range
$51,100$70,300 USD
