Summary

Temp-to-hire warehouse associate responsible for managing shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment and timely shipment of goods while maintaining warehouse organization and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities: Pick merchandise to fill orders, verify shipment accuracy, determine optimal shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.), and reconcile goods against purchase orders. Enter shipping and inventory data into systems, maintain warehouse organization, operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, and resolve shipping discrepancies.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency with warehouse equipment including forklifts, familiarity with inventory management systems (NetSuite, UPS systems), and knowledge of shipping methods and logistics. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required with a minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience. Preferred experience in shipping and receiving with comfort in warehouse safety and operational procedures.
Location: Hybrid in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States (warehouse-based with minimal desk/computer access; little to no travel required)
Compensation: $18 – $20/hour during 90-day probationary period; $20 – $22/hour once permanent employee

Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will ensure the prompt shipment of goods and check incoming packages for completeness and damage. They will prepare items for shipment, as well. This is a Temp-to-Hire role with a probationary period lasting 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Pick merchandise from warehouse shelves to fill orders for items, carefully verify identifying information and quantities.
  • Evaluate and determine best method to ship goods – UPS, FedEx, Courier, LTL, etc.
  • Arrange the best route of product shipments to ensure accuracy, cost effectiveness and timely delivery. This must be carried out in accordance with generally accepted procedures.
  • Carry out correspondence with couriers; including shipment set-ups, delivery instructions and estimated delivery expectations.
  • Enter shipping data into UPS system.
  • Reconcile receipt of goods with packing slip and purchase order for accuracy.
  • Resolve problems pertaining to shipping errors, lost shipments, or internal picking errors.
  • Enter receivable data into NetSuite inventory screen.
  • Place products in assigned locations throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain warehouse layout and organization.
  • Maintain and update daily shipping reports.
  • Log and track Serial Numbers.
  • Adhere to all safety and security guidelines applicable to the dock and warehouse.
  • Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including a forklift.
  • Communicating with various company personnel, departments and vendors to provide information and resolve issues.
  • Preparing for and participate in inventory counts.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1+ years of warehouse experience.

Pay range during 90-day probationary period: $18-20/hour

Pay range once permanent employee: $20-22/hour

Travel

Little to no travel is expected for this position; any travel requirements are local.

Work Environment

This position is located in the warehouse and has minimal access to a desk and computer.
