Position Title: Partnership Development Manager, New Market Expansion
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Per Scholas is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Partnership Development Development Manager to join our New Market Expansion team. This role is pivotal in our strategic growth, requiring successful coordination across all relevant stakeholders in prospective new markets. These stakeholders include, but are not limited to, community-based and/or training organizations, funders, government officials, industry experts, and employers.
What You’ll Do
The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to build new and meaningful connections and relationships in cities or markets where no previous contacts have been made. In this role, you will cultivate and nurture strong, enduring relationships with local stakeholders. Building upon the insights gathered from early-stage labor market data, you will delve deeper into the market, gathering diverse perspectives on its specific challenges and opportunities. Your ability to listen and synthesize information will be crucial.
The ultimate goal of new market account management is to create a network of professional contacts that will set up the founding local team for success. Warm introductions are the foundation of our outreach and connection to the local network.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- New Market Expansion: Assess potential new markets for entry and identify opportunities based on partnership opportunities
- Prospecting: Actively seek out new networking opportunities with both new and existing stakeholders in a new market to build a strong of contacts. Keep your outreach organized and up to date in CRM system.
- Qualifying leads: Assess contacts’ goodness of fit for partnership
- Research: Coordinating cross-functionally to gathering key data that will inform strategy in conducting research
- Outreach: Connecting with potential prospects one-on-one, primarily through seeking warm introductions, and also employing a diverse set of strategies outreach efforts like cold calling or LinkedIn messaging
- Initial interactions: Conducting initial interactions with prospects, elevating those with national potential to Sr. Director of Expansion.
- Travel: Up to 25%
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO US:
- Prospecting: Prospecting is a must. Actively seek out new business opportunities with both new and existing customers to build a strong sales pipeline. Keep your outreach pipeline organized and up to date.
- Account Management: Handle a list of major accounts (companies with revenues of $500M+), leading the entire sales process through account planning, to include initial contact, account planning, deal closing to renewal.
- Sales Goals: Meet or exceed your revenue targets.
- Proactive communication
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within the organization to tailor our solutions to address the customer needs.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how our solutions can address them.
- Salesforce Maintenance: Regularly update our CRM system Salesforce to maintain accurate records of your sales activities and to provide reliable sales forecasts. Engage in direct client meetings either in person or via platforms like MS Teams.

For this role specifically, the salary range is between $65,000/year and $70,000/year, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
