Qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years leading engineering teams; demonstrated expertise in scalable frontend architecture and backend foundations; proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations.

Compensation: ₹2.4M–₹4.2M/yr (estimated)

Engineering Manager Curriculum Associates is seeking a mission-driven Engineering Manager to lead high-performing teams building intelligent, scalable digital learning experiences used by millions of students and educators nationwide. We are looking for a full-stack engineering leader with deep frontend architecture expertise, strong backend foundations, and an AI-first mindset — someone who can drive AI adoption across both product innovation and engineering productivity. This role combines people leadership, technical strategy, and hands-on architectural guidance to deliver impactful, reliable, and accessible education technology. What You’ll Do Lead & Grow Lead, mentor, and grow a team of strong software engineers. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture. Align team goals with organizational and product priorities. Technical Leadership Define and drive architecture for modern React-based applications at scale. Ensure high standards of operational excellence across performance, scalability, accessibility, and reliability. Promote best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and observability. Leverage business reports and operational metrics to drive engineering excellence and business impact. AI & Innovation – Agent of AI Champion AI adoption across product experiences and engineering workflows. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to embed AI into user journeys, personalization, and intelligent insights. Lead the team in leveraging AI tools to improve developer productivity (automation, testing, documentation, coding assistants). Evaluate emerging AI technologies and guide responsible, value-driven implementation. Implement best practices around AI performance, governance, and reliability. Delivery & Execution Partner closely with Product and UI/UX to define roadmaps and deliver impactful features. Balance feature development, technical debt, and operational excellence. Proactively identify risks, remove blockers, and ensure predictable delivery. Support production reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. What We’re Looking For 10+ years of software engineering experience. 4+ years leading engineering teams. Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and scalable modern frontend architecture. Solid backend experience (Java/Spring Boot or similar). Experience building scalable SaaS or distributed systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Experience integrating AI-powered capabilities into applications and SDLC. Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills. Passion for building technology that improves education outcomes. Preferred Experience in EdTech or mission-driven organizations. Accessibility (WCAG) experience. Experience leading AI-enabled product initiatives.
